Confirmation is the Sacrament of the Holy Spirit that brings to fulfillment the gifts first given to us at baptism.

Its purpose is to fill us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit so we can be a true witness in all that we say and do. Whereas in baptism we were born anew or born again, in confirmation we are strengthened. Like baptism, confirmation confers an indelible mark upon the soul and cannot be repeated.

The parish is the proper place where one is prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Those receiving religious education in the faith formation program, the Catholic school, or the home, come together for sacramental preparation in the parish where the family is registered and participating.
